Zillow Showcase Listings Get 79% More Views. Who Can Shoot Them?

By Tyler Landon, Jet Media Productions·

Zillow Showcase is a premium listing format that puts an interactive floor plan, a virtual tour, and a seller-facing performance dashboard at the centre of a Zillow listing, and it can only be built from media captured by a photographer Zillow has approved to deliver it.

Jet Media Productions is an approved Zillow Showcase photographer, so an Orlando agent can send a Showcase invitation straight to us and skip the verification step entirely.

What Does Showcase Actually Add to a Listing?

Four things, and only the first is cosmetic.

An interactive floor plan and a virtual tour sit inside the listing rather than behind a link. A performance dashboard tracks page views, saves, shares, and email enquiries, benchmarked against nearby listings that are not on Showcase. And the whole report downloads, which is the part most agents end up using, because it turns a listing presentation into a document you can hand the seller.

Zillow publishes its own figures for the format: Showcase listings see 79 percent more page views, 76 percent more saves, and 91 percent more shares than nearby comparable listings without it. Zillow also reports that agents running Showcase on more than half their listings win 30 percent more listings than similar agents who do not.

Read those the way you would read any vendor's numbers. They are Zillow's measurements, taken on Zillow's platform, comparing Zillow products, and nobody independent has replicated them. The underlying mechanism is not mysterious though. A listing carrying a floor plan and a walkable tour holds attention longer than a gallery of eleven photos, and attention is what saves and shares are counting.

Who Is Allowed to Shoot a Showcase Listing?

This is the part that catches agents out, usually on shoot day, which is the expensive moment to discover it.

There are two routes. Zillow maintains a Showcase Select marketplace of pre-vetted photography companies that carry a Showcase Select tag inside the ordering flow. Separately, an agent can invite a photographer they already work with: the agent submits contact details, the photographer receives an email, and that photographer has to accept and confirm they meet Zillow's technical standards before any Showcase media can be delivered.

Jet Media Productions is approved on both counts: Showcase media and 3D tours, delivered through Aryeo, the platform Zillow runs Showcase on. The clearance is already in place, so an agent invites us and the shoot goes on the calendar the same day. No vetting delay, no scrambling to find out whether the photographer can actually deliver the format.

Both routes meet the same technical standard for the media itself. Showcase Select is the paid marketplace listing agents browse when they do not already have a photographer. Ours already know who they are calling.

How Does This Sit With Zillow Dropping Matterport Tours?

Directly. Zillow stopped surfacing Matterport tours on listings, which left a real question about who supplies the walkable 3D experience. Showcase answers it by carrying its own tour format natively instead of depending on an embed from another vendor.

If you were relying on a third-party tour for that experience, Showcase is a replacement path rather than something to run alongside it. We covered that change and what it means for tour choice in a separate piece linked below.

What Does an Agent Need Ready Before the Shoot?

Three things, and only one of them is ours.

The listing has to sit in a Showcase-eligible market and the agent needs a Showcase allocation on their Zillow account, which Zillow issues rather than us. The property needs to be shoot-ready in the ordinary way, because Showcase changes the format, not what makes a good photograph. And the floor plan capture happens during the same visit, so nobody schedules a second appointment.

The capture is booked like any other shoot. Our photo package runs $219, video $349, and the 3D tour package $499, with drone aerials included at no extra cost wherever airspace allows. Tell us at booking that it is a Showcase listing and the shoot gets set up to spec the first time.

Is It Worth Ordering?

For a listing where the seller is watching the marketing closely, the downloadable performance report often justifies it on its own, because it turns a conversation about effort into a page of numbers. For a property that will sell in a weekend regardless, the case is thinner.

What we would not do is treat 79 percent as a promise. It is a directional figure from an interested party. The floor plan and the tour are the real product, and both are things a buyer actually uses rather than metrics a platform reports about itself.

What we can tell you is that the media will be right. Every shoot carries the same guarantees whether it goes to Showcase or straight to the MLS: photos back in 24 hours, drone aerials included, a free reshoot if the media does not work for the listing, and no travel fee anywhere in Central Florida.

Booking a Showcase listing in Orlando, Kissimmee, or anywhere in the Central Florida corridor? Tell us at booking and we will capture it to Showcase specification, floor plan and 3D tour included, on the first visit.
