Pool heat is a paid add-on that raises a vacation rental pool to a comfortable swimming temperature, typically somewhere in the low to mid 80s Fahrenheit. In Central Florida it is a seasonal product, and the season starts in October.
Air temperature in the Orlando corridor stays pleasant through the winter. Water temperature does not. An unheated pool in January sits well below swimming comfort, which means a property advertising a private pool in December is advertising something the guest cannot use unless heat is available.
Why Does Pool Heat Matter From October?
Because guests filter for it.
A large share of winter demand in the Kissimmee, Davenport, and ChampionsGate corridor comes from visitors travelling specifically to use the outdoor space. From roughly October through March, pool heat moves from a nice detail to a filter criterion, and a listing without it drops out of the result set entirely for those guests.
Most operators recommend heat particularly for January, February, and early March, when water temperature sits furthest from comfortable.
What Do Orlando Area Rentals Charge for Pool Heat?
Most properties in the corridor charge the guest between $25 and $35 per night. The full observed range runs from about $25 up to $45 per night, driven by pool size and heater type. Electric heat pumps cost less to run than gas heaters, and pricing generally reflects that.
Some operators price by month rather than flat, which tracks actual cost more closely:

These are typical corridor rates observed across Orlando area management companies, not a fixed schedule. Your own cost depends on pool volume, heater type, and how far the water has to be lifted.
How Should a Heated Pool Be Photographed?
This is where listings lose the booking they had already qualified for.
A guest filtering for pool heat lands on your listing and asks one question: does that pool look like somewhere I want to be in January? A flat midday photo of still, blue-grey water reads cold, whether or not the property has a heater.
Shoot it at twilight. Warm interior and deck lighting against a deep blue sky is the strongest single frame a Central Florida rental has. It reads warm because it is lit warm.
Turn everything on. Pool light, spa jets, deck lighting, string lights, landscape uplighting. A lit pool at dusk reads as heated. An unlit pool at noon does not.
Photograph the spa separately if there is one. Spa heat is often the more compelling winter feature and it frequently goes unphotographed.
Show the screen enclosure honestly. Screen enclosures are near universal in this corridor and guests expect them. Shooting through screen badly makes a clean enclosure look dirty, which costs more than simply showing it.
Get one frame with visible steam if conditions allow. On a cool morning a heated pool steams, and that photograph makes a point no caption can.

When Should You Reshoot?
Before the season, not during it.
Airbnb and Vrbo ranking respond to accumulated guest behaviour, so a new photo set needs a few weeks of impressions before its effect is readable. A refresh completed in late August or September has time to establish itself ahead of the winter booking window. A refresh in December is competing for the bookings it was meant to win.
The same logic applies to the copy. If pool heat is available, it belongs in the title or the first line of the description, not buried in the amenities list where the filter is the only thing surfacing it.
